Spotlight on Worcester Free Store

Worcester Free Store

Next in our series of posts about Charitocracy nominees, we have Worcester Free Store nominated by donor Bubba.

The Worcester Free Store is a space where people give what they can so that people can get what they need. Running entirely off of the generosity of our community, we provide items needed by the residence of Worcester County free of charge.

The Worcester Free Store opened March 26 of 2016, in a studio at the WorcShop on Stafford St. In the first month of our opening we gave away over 2400 items. On April 24th, in the Austin liquors parking lot on Park Avenue, the Worcester Free Store had its first community popup event. We were able to give away over 300 items to the community.

  1. This Mission operates by recycling the items given by the community back to those in need. Your financial donations help pay rent and increase the services they offer to the community.
